Activities Offered to Schools
Fossil Hunt
Students set out to discover M'Goun Geopark fossils: ammonites, bivalves, dinosaur footprints. Introduction to field palaeontology.
Landscape Reading
Learning to read a geological landscape: identify rock layers, understand erosion processes, recognise tectonic structures.
Biodiversity Inventory
Counting plants and animals observed at a geosite. Students learn naturalist inventory methods and the concept of endemic species.
Amazigh Craft Workshop
Meeting with local craftspeople, discovery of traditional techniques (pottery, weaving, wood carving) and the link between geological resources and crafts.
Geological Photo Report
Students produce a photographic report of a geosite, learning to document and promote geological heritage with a scientific eye.
Geological Experiments
Practical experiments in class and in the field: erosion simulation, rock hardness testing, mineralogical identification. Geology becomes tangible.
