M'Goun Geopark has 11 visitor centres spread across its territory, each dedicated to interpreting the local geological, natural and cultural heritage.

M'Goun Geopark visitor centres are gateways to discovering the geological, natural and cultural heritage of the Moroccan High Atlas. Each centre is designed to welcome visitors, researchers and school groups, with permanent exhibitions, certified local guides and practical information to plan your stay.
M'Goun geosites are mainly located in rural and mountainous areas. We recommend starting your visit at one of our centres to get personalised advice, maps and information on access conditions.

Museum of Azilal
The Museum of Azilal is the main interpretation centre for the geological, archaeological and cultural heritage of Azilal Province. It houses exceptional palaeontological collections, including original dinosaur footprints, Jurassic marine fossils, and Amazigh ethnographic objects. The museum is the ideal starting point for discovering M'Goun Geopark.

We thank you for your interest in the Azilal Museum and its geological heritage. We are pleased to inform you that you are welcome at the museum. Opening hours are from 10:00 to 18:00, with a weekly closing on Tuesday. Admission is free for students and their supervisors. Furthermore, in order to offer you a guided visit by our scientific mediator (museum geologist), we kindly ask you to communicate in advance the date and time desired for your visit, in order to proceed with the reservation.

M'Goun Geopark House — Azilal
The M'Goun Geopark House in Azilal is the administrative headquarters and main information centre of the UNESCO Geopark. It welcomes visitors, researchers and institutional partners. Permanent exhibitions present the 22 labelled geosites, High Atlas biodiversity and Amazigh cultural heritage. The geopark team offers personalised advice for planning your visit.

M'Goun Geopark House — Iwariden Geosite
Located at the heart of the Iouaridène palaeontological site, this geopark house is dedicated to interpreting Middle Jurassic dinosaur footprints. It is the essential welcome point for visitors to the fossil site, one of Africa's richest with over 1,600 sauropod and theropod footprints recorded on a single site.

M'Goun Geopark House — Aït Bougmez
The Geopark House in the Aït Bougumez Valley, nicknamed "The Happy Valley", is nestled in an exceptional High Atlas geological landscape. It presents the geology of synclines, alpine biodiversity and Amazigh cultural heritage of this valley ranked among Morocco's most beautiful. A space dedicated to agrotourism and traditional farming practices completes the offer.

M'Goun Geopark House — Zaouiat Ahansal
At the far reaches of M'Goun Geopark, the Zaouiat Ahansal Geopark House is the gateway to the territory's most spectacular geological landscapes: the Aït Abdi cliffs, the Mastfrane "Cathedral" and the deep gorges of the Oued Ahansal. This centre is also dedicated to preserving the intangible cultural heritage of the Ahansal brotherhood, one of the oldest in the High Atlas.

Nautical Sports Base
Located at the foot of the iconic "Cathedral" of Mastfrane geosite, the M'Goun Geopark Nautical Sports Base offers privileged access to water activities on the reservoir lake of the Ahansal valley. Canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding and aquatic hikes are offered in an exceptional geological setting, framed by the Jurassic limestone cliffs of the central High Atlas.

Taghya Climbing School
The Taghya Climbing School is a centre dedicated to sport climbing and multi-pitch routes on the limestone walls of the central High Atlas. Integrated into the M'Goun Geopark territory, it offers training for all levels, from initiation to advanced climbing, with certified mountain guides. The Taghya site is recognised as one of Morocco's best climbing spots, with over 80 equipped routes on Jurassic-age limestone rocks.

Amazar Ethnographic Museum – Ouzoud
The Amazar Ethnographic Museum overlooks the famous Ouzoud Waterfalls, located in the Moroccan High Atlas approximately 150 km north-east of Marrakech. Installed at the heart of the mountain in Azilal Province, this unique museum presents exceptional Amazigh rural heritage. Its ambitions are multiple: to help make known and preserve rural heritage, to highlight the important role of women in rural society, to enable women to become more broadly involved in the evolution of society, and to promote tourism in this mountainous region. The collections on display are highly varied: everyday objects, traditional jewellery, Amazigh clothing, paintings, saddles and harnesses, photographs and documentary films.

AESVT Museum Demnate
The AESVT (Association of Earth and Life Sciences Teachers) Museum in Demnate is an educational space dedicated to raising awareness of natural sciences and the geological heritage of M'Goun Geopark. It presents a collection of traditional agricultural tools, Amazigh pottery and ethnographic objects from the High Atlas, as well as exhibitions on regional geology. This museum forms an essential link between scientific education and the promotion of local cultural heritage.

Tizi n Tirghist Museum
The Tizi n Tirghist Museum is a museographic space dedicated to the preservation and promotion of rock engravings and archaeological heritage of the High Atlas. It presents a remarkable collection of photographic reproductions and casts of rock engravings discovered in the region, testifying to the prehistoric civilisations that populated the M'Goun Geopark territory. This museum plays a key role in transmitting Amazigh intangible heritage to future generations.

Azilal Social and Solidarity Economy House
The Azilal Social and Solidarity Economy House (Dar Al Iqtisad At-Tadamuni) is a space dedicated to promoting and marketing products from local cooperatives of M'Goun Geopark. It brings together artisanal, agricultural and agri-food productions from women and rural communities of the territory: Berber carpets, High Atlas honey, saffron, medicinal plants and local produce. This centre is an essential driver of sustainable economic development and circular economy in the geopark.

Dar Tamount Demnate
Dar Tamount is an exceptional cultural and heritage centre located in Demnate, built in traditional Amazigh rammed earth and stone architecture. This emblematic building, with its characteristic towers and Berber geometric ornaments, constitutes a living testimony to the vernacular architecture of the High Atlas. It hosts cultural exhibitions, craft workshops and events dedicated to promoting Amazigh intangible heritage and the M'Goun Geopark territory.
