Ouzoud Waterfalls
Highest waterfalls in Morocco — 110 m — Jurassic limestone
Overview
Ouzoud Waterfalls are the highest waterfalls in Morocco with a 110-metre drop, carved into Jurassic limestone. An iconic natural site of M'Goun Geopark, they are home to Barbary macaques (Macaca sylvanus).
Ouzoud Waterfalls (110 m) are the highest waterfalls in Morocco and one of the most visited sites in the country. The turquoise water falls in three successive tiers amid Jurassic limestone cliffs and lush Mediterranean vegetation. The site is home to a colony of Barbary macaques (Macaca sylvanus) and remarkable biodiversity. Traditional water mills bear witness to the ancestral use of this site by Amazigh populations. A permanent rainbow forms at the foot of the falls in sunny weather.
